Im sure im not the first person to notice this, but im going to rant about it anyway.
Im driving down the road, there's a red light ahead or even just a person breaking a few car lengths ahead [with space left between us PURPOSELY]. I let my foot off the pedal to start slowing down and 1-3 cars push on theirs to get around me only to come to a quicker stop while wasting gas and putting more wear on their breaks.
GRRRRRR ! it makes me want to turn my car into a moble fuel economy fact sheet with stuff in BIG LETTERRS just for those trying to whiz passed me to read as they totally negate my gas saving efforts.
i understand being in a hurry, lord knows ive waited too long to leave the house in the morning, but many people just drive like this on the norm!
It's trained behavior. It's something that's very hard to un-learn and takes effort. I too feel your pain about "red light racers," but I can't change their driving habits so I say whatever and let them keep it up.
