E-Mail Suicide

Here you go. Just paste it in your email and forward.

America's Tombstone

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:

* Number of States won
* by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

* Square miles of land won
* by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000

* Population of counties won
* by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million

* Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won
* by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." How did this happen?

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Man, Joe Olsen is some sort of genius, ain't he. The GOP won more states than the Dems AND won more square miles of land. Doesn't he understand how Presidents are elected or did he skip school that day?

His other observations are equally unenlightening.

And this guy is a law professor?

You know what they say - those who can't do.............

i believe he knows VERY well how elections work. he's simply illustrating that the east and west coast along w/ those dependant on the govt can dictate who is voted in.

enlightening? no. but that's the sick part--the faults in elections and laws are well documented, yet nothing is done to change them.

it begs the question: is majority right? or does agenda precede country?

I'm gonna tell you guys the same thing I told my B.I.L. when he spammed me with it: Did you actually believe that for more than a second???

At least in yours, some of the biggest absurdities were fixed. The other one had 48 states, "Hemline" University, etc. Gee, now there are three correct facts in that entire pantload.

Another thing I told B.I.L. was I respond to stuff like this because I've declared war on neocon spam; do you want to be part of the solution or part of the problem? If it looks like total crap, do the world a favor and don't help it go viral.

Google and even Snopes: they are your friends.

ya know, I just did quick math.... the sq. miles thing.... What state has at least 580,000 sq miles? Doesn't have ALASKA among the 48 states supposed listed. I'm with TheClencher. This is complete BULL if you even look at it for more than second.

Pathetic. And don't think because I can tear apart a poorly structured spam-mail I vote one way or another.

my general rule of thumb is if it comes by email, there's a shred of truth that slipped in there by accident at best.

Although the facts in this email might be total BS, we do know for sure that the slippery slope towards socialism is irreversible and done one step at a time (though new or modified entitlement programs). Government dependency is a bad thing (unless you thought the USSR was a success).

The Russians also made a hash of their agricultural system, so should we abandon ours? To hold up the USSR as a good implementation of any principals, let alone socialist ones is misleading.

All generalizations are dangerous, even this one.
