That's cool .

But I thought ridge riding was driving on the higher "ridge" zones of the road to keep your tires out of rain water or slush? Plus, Hopefully cops won't start looking for hypermiling techniques and mods with a ticketing vengance after reading that .

I'm sure cops have other things to worry about. Although I guess coasting in nuetral is illegal in some states... no idea how they'd know you're doing it though.

Yeah, but they don't like to. Pigs prefer to try to show off their authority and harass defenseless citizens simply because they can.

Have we had more hits on the site since that article was posted?

EDIT: I just looked at the bottom of the page and saw how many are on. I'll try to avoid scaring people away with my politics for a few days.

HAHAHA, this is like listening to tom lykis, except it's not about women but saving gas.

Send a message via AIM to GasSavers_Ryland
a few years back when I took my drivers test I coasted in neutral to the stop signs and they told me that it wasn't safe, but never said it was illeagle, I guess I'll never learn.

Wow, I read some of the many comments to this article and noticed alote of hostility. It seems to have raised awareness and unfortunately lots of rage: I sort of feel like I have a bullseye on my car now . ( .http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/th...hreadid=301280

06/01/07 11:49 AM Man was this article inspiring! After reading it I gassed up my F350 and tried a little drafting of my own. I snuggled up right behind a hybrid on the freeway and tried to catch a little draft. She let me know I was in the right drafting position by flashing her hazards at me; I acknowledged her message with a few flashes of my brights to give her the ol' 10-4. Then something weird happened. . .she stepped on her brakes really hard and then accelerated like crazy(for a hybrid)? hmm? maybe she didn't like me drafting her? Are only Prius drivers allowed to draft? I don't get it. I was only hypermileing my F350 just like all you crafty jackasses tailgating big-rigs. Oh well, there's always the ride home. . .
Check this guy out, he just randomly targets some hybrid .
