I'm unconvinced that congress is doing anything productive on the global warming front at this point.
Comparing our burger flippers to the other 80% of the world however is like telling an amputee 'at least you don't have cancer'. I won't attempt to define where to draw the line on what the cutoff is for being "rich", but I'll go out on a limb and suggest that not a single person posting on this site really qualifies as belonging to even the top 1% that owns over 90%of the wealth, much less the top 0.1% that are the real targets when it comes to issues of taxation.
