Nice work. Nothing like a little friendly competition to keep you focused.

Yaris update from roadrunner

In the 90 day average for the gas version Yaris, I am now ahead of AlexK. I am 42.65 he is 42.38
I am now #1 Yaris, which has been my goal for 2007.
Why is he no longer posting?

After hitting 1,100 miles on my 2007 Yaris Lift-Back, I got a SCii and was able to get a 44.5 tank with 40% city & 60% highway driving...always at or under the speed limit and using many of the tips I found on this site. I have an automatic, by the way...

That's pretty impressive for an automatic.

Just out of curiosity - what were you seeing before you got the SG?

You are the one I have to beat in the next 3 months. My current 90 average is 43.9, but it is going up each week as the weather gets a bit warmer. I am glad to see you here at GasSavers!!!! I am 2nd. Yaris for the time being.

How do you like your Yaris? FE aside that is...

Just curious as that might be my next car when it comes into the right price range for me (that is, a long long time from now :P)

Smile Why I love my Yaris Hatchback

"How do you like your Yaris? FE aside that is..."

I now have 6500 miles in my Yaris 5 speed hatchback. I purchased it 6.5 months ago. Average 1000 miles per month. How do I like my Yaris?

EXCELLENT CAR IMO.
Very reasonable price (12,200), very good gas mileage (44mpg), made by Toyota (holds it value, high quality, etc.), very good looking, very practical body (hatchback, rear seats fold down), very low insurance (545/yr with comprehensive, with collision), roomy and comfortable for a 6'1" guy, etc.

Haha - that's really important for me... I'm 5'11" - with a giraffe neck :P I might just be taller than you sitting down

I looked at buying a Miata awhile back... I just don't fit in the hardtop and my head pokes up in the soft top But I do fit in a Series2 (type 65) Lotus Europa and that thing is a street legal go cart sardine can (but the seats are way reclined)
