I've got to agree about the worst launch section. The few others 1/4 mile tracks I've raced at seem to hook up a lot better.

there is another track closer to my house, irwindale. People say they hook up better. It can probably get me a 2.3xx in there.

At fontana my 60' is always 2.4-2.6
Plus the 50min drive to fontana kind of sucks.
