I will be driving a SWII

My parents are giving me their old car because they just bought a honda odessy. So I will be driving a 1995 Saturn Wagon with an automatic transsmission. The progete was just having too many problems and I know the saturn runs pretty good. It will be a step down in mpg but at least the car works. I expect 30-40mpg. 45 at best.

Features Include:
Working AC
Roof Rack
+150,000 miles
Roll Down Windows
Working Power Steering
The ability to go over 60mph without fearing for my life
A straight allignment

Oooh! Congrats!

My SL1 gets about 40, you may get less though since you have roof racks. You'll find out soon enough!

I really drove carefully with my previous saturn and did ok. I expect similar results.

I will taking the roof racks off (I have been on gassavers long enough to know of the mpg impact).

I may have hit the wall, or very close to it, on my mileage. A couple of 70F+ days got me a 45+ MPG tank. This morning it was raining and 40-something. Barely broke 40 MPG on that trip. And yesterday getting stuck in traffic due to a horrific semi-car fatality that closed the freeway 9 hours forced me to detour.

Sweet.. I had a '93 SW2 awhile back I can't say anything about FE as the odometer stopped at 68K miles... The thing had so many problems with it - but even with an exploded timing chain guide, oil filled spark plug wells, and all sorts of other gremlins - the damn thing just refused to die If it hasn't been said here yet - timing chain jobs on that engine are MESSY and was a bit tedious for me
