Isn't the Bolt 200 mile range? $41k.

I'm turned off with the battery lease offer, because a flat monthly subscription ONLY benefits high mileage drivers. Battery fee should be based on "per mile" of use.

Any car car in the 10 to 15 year range is going to have increasing risk of needing a major repair.

The Bolt starts at $37.2k, and has 238 mile range EPA; 310 mile NEDC.

I think Renault's battery lease structure is like that for whole cars. There is a monthly or annual mile limit, with higher limits costing more.

Most people lease the entire car, the battery is included in that, most people will save money this way as they're not paying much in terms of fuel costs, and they're not really loosing the thousands associated with depreciation. Trollbait is correct, the battery lease is cheaper if you do lower miles. It can reach £110 a month though, for someone in a small diesel, the battery lease could be twice as much as regular fuel.

Lease=buying depreciation=seldom could that be called economically responsible.
Rent your gas tank for $1200 a year, HMMMMMMMMM and that does NOT include the "fuel".
What does a 60kwh battery cost these days? Probably as much as my car did new.
I'm so ticket. At 27k miles I just got my first DOOR DING LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your car has already lost $10,000 US dollars in three years/27000 miles though, a new battery by the time it's due for replacement will be less than a third of that no doubt.

Yep. Battery tech is like computer CPU tech; cheaper and more powerful over time.

I don't prioritise total cost ownership, my car is a performance car, Im not expecting low costs. If I wanted low costs, I'd have kept my 60 MPG, 800 miles a tank, free Road tax, once every two year servicing Renault Clio.

Not everyone buys an electric car to save money either, although in big cities like London, free congestion charges, free parking places and other benefits for electric car owners make them alot cheaper than a conventional car and can save thousands every year.
