A car telematics solution based on Android sounds great to me as I'm a coder. However I'm not sure if most people like the idea. What do you think about this device?
Most car manufacturers already have thier own versions of this device already integrated in the car, so an "aftermarket" product such as this may not catch on. Sounds similar to Vauxhalls one star, have a read.
This will likely end up cheaper than OnStar, which has monthly connection fees. It also records the same statistics that those insurance devices do.
I wonder if it can be used as a bluetooth OBD2 connector for using a phone with torque app. There can be issues with not all the data going through a twin plug adapter.
