I did a statistical analysis of this a few years ago. The highest correlation between oil futures & pump prices was with a 60-day lag (I considered 0, 30, 60, and 90 days for my analysis).

The past few years has been a lot more volatile, but I suspect that the 60-day lag is still the most accurate.

Think you are saving gas? Prove it by starting a Gas Log, then conduct a proper experiment.

A local grocery chain recently announced that they were "slashing prices" by 10% due to the lackluster economy in an effort to help out the consumer! LOL!

You gotta love marketing departments. They would be as bad as political campaigns if we let them.

I think, therefore I doubt.
