Not a fan of honda or toyota (parts too dang expensive and change looks every 2-3 years it seems lol.

Very nice! looks like one of the many projects I'd love to sink my teeth into...

I've been salivating over having a '27 T-bucket roadster or pickup with either a Chevy 292 or a Hudson 308 I6, among other things (I could go into detail but...nahhh). Not a gassaver...but a real gas to drive!

I already drive with no goodies but power steering and brakes...unfortunately, the car came originally with 4-wheel manual drums but as neither I nor my Mom had ever driven manual brakes, my Dad upgraded to power disc for safety. Ironically, about a year after he put the PDB on the Mustang, we got another Mustang that I learned stick in...sans power brakes or steering. It's the most fun car I've ever driven and was the one to give me base model fever.

Although I'll always have this Mustang (too many good memories), my next DD will probably be a base model, '65-'66 200ci 3-speed Mustang or a '58 Chevy Biscayne 2-door post with 235 I6 and 3-speed w/ selectible overdrive. Both can average over 20 and touch 30mpg.

Awesome project. The WWII ration card caught my eye with the Pontiac, Illinois address. I grew up near there in Chenoa, where my parents still live.

oh that is awesome. My father in law has a 26/27 model A coupe. Has the sweet fold up rear bench. The first picture of the motor and interior brings great memories. He regularily drives it to work, cruising around 55mph safely. It's a hoot

GREAT JOB so far. What is your color scheme going to be?

I've got a '30 Chevrolet 2 door sedan I've posted pics of here before, it's slightly updated though.

i asked my grandpa what color it was originally and he cant remember, ive found paint in the hidden areas and it was a dark like a hunter or forest green cab with black running boards and fenders, im not sure what color the bed was. wheels will eb black with silver center caps, lug nuts, and lock rings(split rims, eeek)

the brakes or so ive been told by fellow model AA ers say that if you stomp the brakes they will lock up all 4 wheels and put your face in the windshield when thier adjusted right. gotta rememebr with a 1.5 ton load capacity you gotta have big wide brakes to stop all that, with no load those suckers will stop! not to mention the drums are about 14" diameter so theres lotsa stopping power.
