Talking My new used car

1995 Mazda Protege 1.5L 5speed.
cd player, 123,000 miles. new clutch. $500

I will put some pictures up soon. The check engine light is on, he thinks it is a sensor problem, when the car warms up the engine misses onces in a while. It was in a minor wreck so the front end has blue colored panels and the rest is tan.

The car is obd2 . EPA rated 31/39.

More Specs Here:

Cool! Great price too.

I've driven the same car and liked it. 92 hp should = great opportunity for FE.

I just got the car home. So the main problem is the check engine light problem.

It seems worse when it is under moderate acceleration. Hopefully i can figure it out (he said he already replaced the MAF sensor).

The car is slow enough that i won't be tempted to drive fast in it

Cool, looks like a cop car. I had a 323 about 7 years ago. Was the wife's favorite car ever. She loved it. I saw a Protege' this evening with a X-Mas tree strapped to the roof, looked funny.

Ok I will give an update:

I put new sparkplugs in and took out the sub/amp (It was heavy, 30lbs). I went to get the car inspected and failed bad (I need front rotors/ rear brakes/ windshield needs scratches buffed out/ parking light needs a new bulb). Looks like i will be busy with that for a while.

Hooray for Toyota Motorhomes. I have a 1983 Dolphin 21 footer. Just perfect for the two of us. We have covered about half of the US pretty well. I have 22R engine and 4-speed. I have gotten as much as 23 MPG and can get 20 very regularly. I am going to put skirts over the rear wheels, looks easy. May play with some front grille blocking. I'm more than a middle aged goober.

You are a heck of a shopper. Good deal. This will keep you out of the bars for a while. Have you seen my front skirt pics?

I hope I can get into the 50s next summer. The car has a really nice interior (much better fit and finish then the saturn).

The outside is metal! My past two car were plastic so it is a bit strange to me to have a steel outside.
