That's not bad for a large engine. I've yet to try mine on the highway yet, don't really have highways where I live, so it's an experiment I'll have to leave on the back burner for now. I've had a best over a similar 30 mile journey of 51.3 UK MPG which is respectable for a car with almost 300 HP in my opinion.

The part that impressed me was that you were able to do this with an AWD system.

Yeah, I've read that it has a (variable) 40/60 torque split around town, but gives 100% power to the rear wheels at highway speeds, so it's basically dead weight at highway speeds I guess. Btw, that 4x4 light is due to low battery voltage (system shuts off nonessential equipment like cruise control, AWD). I get that after about 15-20 minutes of continuous driving, so I need to change the battery soon.

VW needs to fill more segments in the States!

This would've been competitive. Dammit VW, you freaking suck. You sadistic, misanthropic excuse of a car company. After you dropped the ball on diesels. Go **** yourself.

The Caddy? Popular little van here, my friend has the older Sportline model with the 2.0 TDI 140 bhp. He says it doesn't matter how much weight you load it up with, doesn't affect the performance. This is exactly the same as him.

Where did you get that figure from Doug? My friend averages about 42-44 UK MPG.

Oh. I was going off the stats I saw on the previous YouTube video.

44mpg is respectable, but I can wait for the pure electric. Thank you.

It was probably cheaper to rebadge a Caravan than bring their little van up to US specs.

Paul, if people from England are called English, why aren't people from Wales called the Whales?
