Ha, if it ever STOPS making noise, that is when you should head for the hills! But I can see what you mean. It is pretty noisy...

my wife uses the pressure cooker for the beans. I've noticed also boiling water in a reg pot on natural gas is slower than the propane gas i use on the outside grill not to mention no heat inside the house for the a/c to work harder. also my wife just bought a new set of pots, they cook faster than the old ones- poss thinner metals or a different metal.
