Remember My Wife

Everyone please keep my wife in prayer and thoughts. She just had surgery 2 weeks ago to remove a lump in her breast and when they ran the tests on the tissue removed they found out there were cancer cells all though her right breast so she is going back into surgery this morning at 11 AM to have the breast removed. The surgeon said it hadn't yet spread to any other parts of the body and said he didn't think she'd have to have any radiation or chemotherapy, but that would be up to the cancer doctor after this surgery is completed.

I think everything is going to be OK. They said that it was caught early and that the cancer cells that were left after the lump removal were not active, but they still recommended having it removed. The surgery went fine, took about 45 minutes and when I came home later this afternoon she had been awake for several hours and seemed to be feeling pretty good. Since I have chronic back pain and there's nowhere to get a decent nights sleep at the hospital my son is staying with her tonight. He called about 30 minutes ago and said she was doing fine except that her pain level had increased since I left. Guess I just make people feel better. lol

Re: Remember My Wife

My wife came home from the hospital yesterday about 3 PM. She seems to be doing fine with the exception of being pretty sore.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and thoughts.

Re: Remember My Wife

She went back to the surgeon today. He said everything was looking good and said he thought maybe by about Tuesday the drainage tubes and part of the clamps could be removed.

Re: Remember My Wife

My wife went to the cancer Dr. yesterday. The Dr. said the cancer had been caught early and was only a small mass. She said she didn't think it would be necessary for her to have any chemotherapy or radiation, but was going to run more tests on the tissue removed to be certain.

Re: Remember My Wife

Thank goodness you have the best health care system in the world at your beck and call.
Her treatment will be on par with the most expensive and most advanced clinics and hospitals in the country.
If the doctor says things look promising then you should be getting the skinny.

As she can handle pain better than you and knows her body,
I'll think of the guy, scared to death he'll lose a major part of himself with the loss of the love of his life.

Let her know how sexy and desirable she is, because she is her.
