well car parts will bring more than a whole car. was it locked?, windows up? i hope you didnt leave the keys in it...

most likely it was a joy ride. police should find it. but then again it is a crx. a popular car to turn into a ricer.

if its punk kids then its prolly nearby, ditched in an alley somewhere. but if its someone who knows what thier doing, its gone...hate to say it but its true.

That bites. What are the odds that 2 GS members would lose their Hondas.

Wow, that is a bummer. You would think that thieves would target higher end cars. However, older cars are easier to steal. If what Vetteowner and Brian D say is true, then you could be out of luck.

Oh, and come on now... what is this bit with the golf clubs?! Isn't the reduction of unnecessary weight one of the key ways to increase FE??? It would be terrible if you found out that they only wanted the clubs, and were just using your car as a get-away vehicle.

I do feel for you though, especially since you were obviously attached to the car.

contrary to what people think, if your going to steal a car, would you want somehting that blends in well or somehting that sticks out? ok the police get a report of a stolen silver civic. theres tons of em around and the police arent going to run every plate on every silver civic they see. now if it were a bmw, lexus, etc. thier easier to spot and there arent too many of them in such a concentrated area. you would be supprised what a cars value is thats been stripped. each door will bring about $200 hood $300 bumpers $150-200 those are just some of the parts. then ya got headlights/tailights/fenders etc. and since there are so many hondas around its easier to unload the "hot parts" on un suspecting or suspecting people cuz theres more of a demand.

just a weird way of supply and demand...

lol sorry if im freaking you out mrmad but i wanted to just get that out there so that while a car may seem worthless or extremely low value to one person it can be a whole lotta money to another. (how do you think junkyards/salvage yards can keep in busines for 50+ years? get the whole car for less than $20 and then sell a hood for $200 theres a $180 profit off just one part...)

that sucks bro, my car civic was stolen back in december, 4 days before christmas.

i know exactly how you feel. i live in a nice area too but they found the car 20minutes away half stripped.

the didnt steal the bimmer because they are not easy to steal. pre 2000 hondas are really easy to steal. just from recovering mine i knew exactly how they did it.

a honda with an alarm is still easier to steal than most cars...

hopefully you will get it back, if you do there should still be a good amount of parts on there.... "should"

Sorry to hear that your car got ripped off. I doubt that you will be able to get much of anything from the insurance company. Unfortunately, loosing your car, particularly when your trying to squeze it for mileage is the pit's. I would have thought Temecula would be more unlikely, but I do think their is a large underground market in the whole Southern California Area.
