Road Makers...What's This?

I see those green metal structures everywhere they are replacing concrete roadbed. What are they?

Re: Road Makers...What's This?

Looks like rebar. They probably put it in at the joints between pads to minimize settling of separate pads so you don't get that thump, thump, thump as you ride down the road.

Re: Road Makers...What's This?

I was thinking it was more of a skid pad. i have seen where they actually stack blocks on top of each other. so it would be harder for the top block to shift or slide.

I know those blocks weigh tons so maybe that isn't it.

Re: Road Makers...What's This?

thier rebar, looks like thier gettin ready to pour a new median. they have the same green things where new roads are around here (obviously alot wider haha)

if you ever get a chance to go slow by one its just a green wire rack with rebars being held in it.

I believe this is two, side by side, one upside-down.
