i think it did pretty well considering it was going 70mph!! you dont get that safety in some suvs and other 2 ton land yachts.

lol pretty cool. but you gotta admit, its a light car so it just kinda bounced off it. kidna liek a bug hitting your windshield. but i was hoping for a head on type of thing not a somewhat glancing blow. cuz if its angled alot of its energy got bounced off to the side.

lol still cool to see one hit a wall...

yea, i see your point. if something twice its weight is going 20mph and it is going 30mph and they hit head on the damage will similar if it were to hit a wall.

i think the notable difference between the smart hitting a wall and a bug hitting the windshield is the flattening factor. when a bug hits a windshield it no longer has wings, legs, organs, none of that, its just a mess. when the smart hit the wall, it still had some wheels a door and an engine! i was surprised it disintegrate!

All things considered that lil SmartCar did pretty well . Wonder if there is any side impact vid footage ? More than likely would get T-boned at an intersection than do a header into an immovable object .

lol crash test places wreck thousands of cars a year...

a side impact of that car would sent it flyign into another dimention or trap the driver between the front of whatever car hit it and a wall/pole/ another car...lol id love to see one of those smart things get tboned by a full size truck/suv...
