Lightbulb Steel front doors and hard drive magnets

D'oh! Of course...I've had a steel front door for almost 5 years and whenever it was time to hang something on it, we used tape or ran a wire over the top or whatever.

Silly me. I could have been using hard drive magnets this whole time!

Residential steel doors are sheet steel wrapped around a wood core.

Ah got it not solid steel after all. I was thinking about the winters in RI after having seen Perfect Storm and the weather shown on that.

Shatto: Surprisingly it does get cold here. My water meter froze solid this year (again) when it got to minus 2C.
Summer is on the way and we are now enjoying Spring.

On second thought, I'd imagine that Australia would be much like any desert and be bitterly cold at night.

Just glanced at the map. Am I safe, assuming you live in a Mediterranean climate?

Australia is about the same physical size as the US mainland so the actual climate varies a lot.
Up North it is like Florida and down South is more like Northern California / Washington state.

I am inland a bit (Central Victoria) so cold Winters but not high enough here to get snow and hot dry Summers and the constant threat of bushfires.

Nearer the coast the climate is very Mediterranean and moderated by the oceans.
