$5,000 is pretty steep for an 18-year-old car with a salvage title. I sold my cherry (no rust, no dents) '95 VX for $3,000 a few years ago.

$5000 is a starting place. with the milage on this car. salvage title does not affect the way the car runs or drives.

Hmm... would you happen to still have the VX wheels? That's a notable part of the VX trim Civics. It wouldn't prevent me from being interested in the car though, but I'd much prefer the VX wheels.

Also, salvage title may not always mean anything actually happened to the car, but being as we don't personally know you or what happened to your car, it represents a risk for the buyer. I suggest providing a VIN-based report (like a Carfax) on the car, as that would help counteract the uncertainty of a salvage title. Don't have to, but I think it's a good suggestion.

I also wanted to add that shortly after i bought the car the OD stopped working I about one out of a junk yard it had 152,000 miles on. The car had a little over 162,000 miles on it when I bought it in March.
