1980 Comuta Car, Yellow

Has about 1300 miles, and is in very good shape. It's ready to drive right now.

What I have done to the car.

New interstate batteries, only about a dozen cycles. 48v system.
New automatic 12V AUX battery charger
I replaced the leaking rear end oil seal, and added synthetic oil
I installed a new master cylinder, lengthened push rod, flushed, cleaned and bled brake system, repaired emergency brakes.

New outdoor rated carpet.
New weatherstripping.
Modified wiper to use standard blades
Installed new interconnect cables, repaired other cables, installed new 12V
wiring with fuses, installed new charge interlock relay

Rebuilt F/R contactor
Replaced fuse panel, relays and switches, installed additional fuses, repaired all lights.

The car drives fine, I had been driving it to work, a sixteen mile round trip,
when the weather was warmer.
I am looking to sale the Comuta Car and covert another car to electric.

It's located in Owensboro, KY

I am asking $3500.00

Just curious- what is the max range and max speed (level ground no wind) of this vehicle?

Also- was it hard to license? Ever get pulled over by the police?

Max speed on level ground is 38mph. My work trip is sixteen miles round trip, no charging at work, when I get back home I have 80% charge.
I can e-mail the pics if you can't access them.
I didn't have any problems getting the car licensed, and I have it insured with State Farm. It has a normal Kentucky car title. I haven't had any problems with the Police.
The car does attract a lot of attention.

I think 90 miles would be very optimistic, the original brochures said up to 50 miles. As in any car it all depends on how you drive.

Yeah, the car probably isn't drivable under 20% or 25% charge, and if you were to completely discharge a lead acid battery it never comes back to full capacity again.
