... and weld the control arm? What's up with that? It might have collided with a curb or something. It would be easy enough to fix, just grab a control arm from a junkyard donor. If that's all it needs then someone can get a nice car for a very nice price.

That's what I was thinking too...I guess if you have your own welding equipment you could maybe fix it for free instead of buying a control arm.

Probably the control arm mount. IIRC, they rust out easily (always seems to be the right hand one). Out here in the Great State of California, we don't know about such things, since, as far as I am aware, we don't use salt on the roads.
