Seems like some (not you Arky) on this forum dislike the fact are cars out there crushing their FE #'s ~21% (or more in some cases.)

Honestly I would be mad too. If one did the math and figured out how much of a savings that really is.

you could very well get it sold soon especially if you drop the price a little and fix the tic/tac issues. heck, i still got calls for mine days after i removed it from CL. so people are taking note and perhaps making and remaking their rounds

The blue book value for that car in excellent condition purchased from a dealer is $2,600. You're really going to have to wait on gas prices to go up quite a bit before someone is desperate enough to spend that much on a project vehicle. Not to say it hasn't happened before. In 2008 we were marveling at people asking $5,000 for old early 80's diesel Ford Escorts in really poor condition.

Hate to break the news to you but Blue Book doesn't mean crap for this car. It's to "hot"... I've turned down several $3000 offers. I'm in no hurry to sell, and just looking for someone that appreciates how rare a civic VX that gets 50+ MPG that's not a hybrid, and you don't needing to pay for costly $3000+ battery's every 3years~! Anyone that can do simple math will understand this car will end up paying for itself within few months, (granted you are a commuter)

Thanks, I have lowered the price to $3700, and fixed a few of the small issues. Unfortunately there is no way to edit post on this website. The reason I never come back here but once every few days/weeks.

Yes, we had to put a time limit on editing posts because spammers were making a legitimate post, then coming back a few weeks later and editing the post with spam. If you need to have a post edited, click the "report post" button, (the red X), and in the box, put the corrections you would like made, and a moderator can take care of it for you.

Personally, I know that VX'es are hot, but I don't pay over blue book value when car shopping. Also, only Honda hybrids need new batteries every 3 years. Ford & Toyota haven't had the problems that Honda does.

Gas is $3.45 a gallon here ... clearly headed toward $4 a gallon and more this summer. I'd stay firm on my price. You'll get it soon enough.

Yeah prices in CA are just a few penny's shy of $4 a gal (a bunch of gas stations over $4) and going up FAST expect record high gas prices for the summer!... May just raise my price on car!
