48 City and 55 Hwy!

Completely Stock and well maintained original commuter car.

Also have an extra VTEC-E motor in its plastic wrapping (all but impossible to find), Original motor runs excellent. Also have two extra Federal ECU's.

A commuters dream car, Gas for a Truck/SUV is at over $5000/year and this Hatchback can hold all your tools or equipment.

Great for a work vehicle, free to drive with the 53 cents a mile writeoff!

$12,000 or trade for Honda Insight in similar condition. Seats 5.

He doesn't say how many miles are on it. If it had like 15K miles then it would probably be worth $10K+

I doubt it though, I'm sure it has 178K

And the VTEC-E is not "all but impossible to find" they are on ebay all the time, low miles, for under $500.

So all of you who have civic vx's would be willing to sell them for $1,500 or whatever they blue book value at? this guy isn't taking the money out of your bank account and leaving the car in your driveway is he?
I figure the very least that I would sell my civic vx for is $5,000 but it's not in perfect shape and I don't really want to sell it, but when I bought it I paid about 20% above blue book and gas was $1.80 a gallon and feel like I got a great deal.

It's not that I'm saying he's entitled to 'ask' whatever he wants but he's got to be crazy to think anyone is going to pay $12000.00 dollars or want to trade a Honda Insight for a VX with unknown mileage and a 'spare' engine. I bet it's got a ton of miles so he already had a spare engine in the near future.

Maybe he doesn't think anyone will pay that much. If I didn't need the money right away, I'd try it like that and see if anyone who is particularly pissed off about gas prices buys it.

Here are just a few examples of why I don't think ANYONE would pay his asking price (and the reasons I think he's nuts) when these other cars are available.
