I saw an ad for a Geo Metro 1.0L in the sub $3K section of the Detroit News today. They wanted $1300 for it. It had 131K miles. Probably gone by now but who knows. They also had a four banger Geo Metro too but I don't recall how many miles or how much that one was going for.

I always check the bargain bin even when I'm not buying. Got my VX that way cheap. Good luck.

I'm in western wisconsin and have a 1982 diesel rabbit for sale that needs brakes all around, a wheel bearing, the axle re-installed, and a few other miner things, so a trailer would be needed, while my grandparents, who bought it new, owned it they alwas took it in for service if the mpg droped below 50, as it sits I'd take $900 for it, in the spring when I get a chance to work on it more the price will go up.

I also plan to sell my crx hf in the spring, the current engine burns oil, and tranny grinds going in to 2nd gear, I have a good tranny that is ready to go in to it, and an engine that I just started checking over, it's getting a new water pump, timing belt, thermostat, and compleat tuneup and cleaning, it's $1,000 with all the parts, brand new tires (less then 500 miles), and even with the oil burning engine could be driven nearly anywhere.
