Coolant question

Hey guys, I have a 2014 zx6r with I believe might have an issue. I noticed after a ride when I ride back from my Apknite company to my home and park the bike I notice my reservoir bottle is completely empty (I filled it up only a few days ago at the full line).

Now here is the weird thing, when the bike gets very cold and I check back on it in an hour or two I notice the reservoir is full again to where I originally topped it off.

I have no cooling problems or anything, is this normal operating procedure? My radiator is topped off as well, so I'm not sure where the bike took all the coolant from the reservoir and then spat it back out into the bottle.

That's weird. If the coolant gets really hot, it will expand and fill the reservoir tank.

Usually, Coolant, if got hot, will fill up the reservoir tank.

Cool

Hi Parmalee, i have no idea what kind of system your bike runs, but my Impala has a pressurized system and reverse flow cooling. So it cools the heads first and then the block. At any rate it has a reservoir with a 15psi cap, there is no radiator cap on the RAD itself.

It is normal on my car for fluid to act as you describe, in fact the markings on my reservoir say "full cold".

My guess is nothing is wrong, or you have a tiny bit of air in the system and need to bleed it, but if that were true i suspect the motor would be running a little on the hot side.
EDIT: found a pic actually.... http://carphotos.cardomain.com/image...0/19130608.JPG
Good Luck.
