just bought '08 Vulcan 900 Custom

I just found this little gem on Craigslist yesterday and I've put almost 200 miles on it since buying it about 27 hours ago.

I don't aticipate staggering fuel numbers with this bike, probably something in the mid 40's at best especially since it has some aftermarket goodies on it like exhaust, intake, and I'm assuming a fuel processor though I haven't found it yet.

After selling my '96 Saturn and having a full garage space to park just the Ninja 250, I felt the need to fill that void with another bike. I didn't want a "crotch rocket" as my 250 is so cramped and I don't like the riding position with my knees bent back nearly as much as the forward controls that this bike offers. I was interested in something like a sport standard (Triumph Street Triple or a Honda VFR, maybe even an FZ1) but I just could't swing the price those things fetch, and most of them have 15-20k miles or more.

Vulcan 900 - 232 miles divided by 4.2 gallons = 55.23mpg!

Yet, my last tank on my Ninja 250 was 50 mpg... Guess we know which one gets beat on and which one gets babied....
