It's not hard to get 70+ mpg with a fuel injected F650, you don't even need to use hypermiling techniques, driving conservatively and keeping speed limits does the trick. Just look it up (you can find examples at places like f650.com).
OTOH, what's funny is to get this 70+ at winter or exceed 90 mpg in the summer
Coasting (and pulse&glide) helps a lot. I occassionally do FAS too.
Being relatively short and lightweight helps a bit too (2-up trips usually give like 10 percent worse FE, so the extra weight/aero drag does surely count).

Another weekend, another country. This time it's Slovakia. (Yes, we're full of small countries here.) Then back to Hungary. The "roads" were awful. And of course you won't believe our averages Even though we couldn't reach 90mpg now.

TTT, I don't even update Ciliegia's log since March because I rarely ride her anymore. Actually, she's my girlfriend's bike.

Life's too short to just have one motorcycle, it's not that bad of a predicament.
I do it the same way as I decide which shirt/underwear to put on..

I'm an addict, motorcycles far less expensive than drugs.

What is the new member of your stable?

(Though I still like to mostly use one bike for anything and everything. Teresa is so good all-rounder, I don't even really think about getting any other bike. Plus I like to keep one, long, beautiful log that covers everything and shows real everyday use: one-up, two-up, summer, winter, rain, wind, frost, city, highway, freeways and twisties, commute and touring. I'm just this type.

Sometimes I ride Ciliegia too, but now my girlfriend has her own license and Cili is hers, so it's been rare in the last one year )

[Anyway I got a phone with a GPS receiver but I still couldn't get it correctly measure the distance I ride. It's acting up nastily...]

Took off 6-8 lb. of steel handlebar, misc. brackets, mirrors..



Replaced with alloy handlebar:



and Suzuki plastic (lightweight) headlight:
