Project: 49CC Scoot Demon!

Just won my bid on ebay, w00t, so excited that I am posting up immediately!

It's a 2003 Honda Metropolitan, way torn up, definately will be a project, but I will fix it up and hopefully be able to earn some money (if I sell it) to put towards a bigger bike or mehbe it will fulfill my desires and I'll be able to use it in place of the CRX in all its 100+ MPG glory.

Pictures as follows (will detail the problems later):

La la la, lots of fun. Does anyone have one of these or a ruckus? I'll be working on this at school, will need to buy a second, small set of tools though, boo, as well as a few parts, but I think it will be worth it.

how much did you pay for it?

I think it would be a super fun project.

370. More than I wanted but not more than I'm happy with, looking forward to learning about the metropolitans and such is about half of my joy with the project.

looks to be about the same running gear as my honda Elite-e with a spiffier plastic covering.
so what's wrong with it? they are insanely simple, and new and used parts are extreamly avalible.

Looks like a great little project.

I've always thought about taking on scooters as a project / hobby to buy, restore / fix and then re-sell.

What exactly is wrong with it other than it being in pieces? (that just makes your job easier anyhow)

It's missing some pieces and has an idling issue with the carb. Nothing too big. Should be fun,

YOu can probably get a carb rebuild kit for insanely cheap. Considering it's age, I doubt it even needs a rebuild. Probably just a cleaning and adjusting.

If I hadn't just spent an insane amount on a new bicycle, I would want to get a scooter too.
