Yeah, I doubt it'll take much.

a weak point with honda small engines is the carb, spend $15 or so and get a rebuild kit, the jets are very sensitive, and get even more so when you get smaller like the 50cc scooters, also make sure your oil in your oil injection system is good oil.
the body work on those is a pain because you can't do much work on the engine with it in place.

Can you give me a quick run down on the oil injection system? I'm not sure how it would work on such a small 4 stroke, I had assumed it would operate just like the engine in my CRX just 1/30th the size,

I'm sorry, I was pretty sure that the scooter you have is a 2 stroke, with oil injection, insted of pre-mix gas.
but now that I look at the parts listing, they do list a cam, and valves!

Okay, cool. I wasn't sure if you were thinking 2 stroke (I'm not familiar with them other than I wouldn't have one for emissions reasons) or something obscure about little 4 strokes.

I'm excited to get this thing, dunno where to get stock parts for it though. Any ideas?

I used the web site MrCycles.com to find part numbers, then go to: http://www.servicehonda.com
to get better prices, I've ordered motorcycle parts from ServiceHonda.com, and had good luck.

Can you say if there's any benefit in kickstart v. automatic ignition? I've never heard which these things were...

"automatic ignition"??? do you meen CDI or do you meen electric starter? electric starters are slick, push a butten and putt putt away, insted of folding out the kick start leaver, kicking it over untill it starts, folding it back in, and going, the starter isn't much, a motor about the size of a cordless drill motor, and on something with as much plastic as this has, it's nice not to be jumping up and down kicking it over, as things tend to brake, but on my 125cc motorcycle, without much plastic, I use the kick start all the time.
now if you ment CDI spark ignition... I like that better then points, it's all sealed, with read switches and magents, insted of points that run off a cam, sure stuff has to be replaced when/if it wears out, but it's reliablity is much better, and you are going to be replacing parts alot less then you would be replacing points, and it's going to work longer and better, and more effently because you don't have to replace, and adjust parts as much.
I think most scooters after about 1985 were CDI (capasitor discharge ignition).
