any better way than EOC?

im getting above 30 mpg all city on my civic manual, i think i can hit 40 if i EOC, but i tried it a few times and when i use the momentum to push start my car at 2nd gear, it starts up and then goes off when its warmed up.

I have to wait for 10 minutes then crank it and it would be back to normal

Reminds me of a problem I had with an 87 Ford Escort EXP. The stator inside the distributor had gone bad. I would have to wait to crank it again and the time kept getting longer and longer. I bought a new distributor after breaking the housing, trying to get the stator out.

Sometimes the coil will overheat if powered on and not in use too.

Without fuel, they were nothing..thundering machines sputtered & stopped..Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice
