It wouldn't wow as many people but I'd go for a Mustang. 2.3T for about 1/6 or GT for about 1/5 or Shelby GT350 for about 1/3 the money. The 2.3T gives 31mpg and likely runs fine on mid-grade instead of premium required like the NSX. I know, when you're at that price level the extra 20 cents a gallon is meaningless but it does still add up.

Sold as Honda here. Wont be as good as the Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, BMW hybrid supercars. Most have the hybrid system for performance reasons (and to lower average emissions in Europe) but the BMW i8 is genuinely quite economical, not to the extent where you get 134 MPG as quoted, but I've read reports of 30-40 MPG which is good for a supercar.
Far better than any in it's class.
