Smile Another new guy?

Hello all!
I was doing a search on how to save gas and came across this site. I read a couple of forum threads and decided to make an account. I just wish I came across this site earlier because I went through so many cars already and could have had a bigger garage! =P Anyways, glad to be here. ^_^

dancincartman -

Welcome to GS! A CRX for free!?!?!?!?!?! Wow. And yes, the stock exhaust or one that meets the same specs would be best. Fartcans don't help FE.

Is it a stick? I vaguely remember that the SI only came in stick, but synapses can lie.

I've talked to a number of people who were sure they alwas got 40mpg in their crx SI in stock condition, stock exaust isn't all that costly, even from the dealer, good luck with finding the interor, it's one thing that honda seemed to skimp on in quality.

Welcome, and good luck!

For fixing up the interior, my guess is that a self-service junkyard is your best friend. Also called a pick-and-pull.

Wow! I didn't expect so many responses! Thanks all! And yes, the CRX SI is a stick (I can't imagine driving anything else!). Even in it's "not so great" condition, I still get a fair amount of gas mileage (my guess is 35ish but I need to keep track of it). I've actually found a good amount of interior items from a couple of junkyards (there's about 3 pick&pulls around my area that were helpful :P) This weekend, I'm going to clean up the interior and input my interior parts, and give the ol' girl a good wash. ^_^
