Civic Owner starting the Mods!!!...Buffalo,NY

Welll here it is!!!! My gassaver project...
Well after driving to NYC and getting about 36-40mpg at a constant speed of 75-80mph which i think is amazing....this is the car fully stock with the exception of a ebay intake and a turbo style muffler.
Here is what it looks like...
1993 Honda Civic LX Sedan
5spd
d15b7
206k miles

First drive:
9.082 Gallon = 334.8 miles so 36.831 mpg
5.081 Gallon = 205.9 miles so 40.523 mpg

I will get a hold of some coroplast this weekend and do the grille block and rear wheel skit and front/rear wheel air dam.

Grille Block Mod

Grille block has been done...i will do some calculation this weekend becuase im driving down to florida....a 1500 miles trip....with the grille block and a gas leak...a drop ever sec....so with my calculation every droplet is .00251ml and 60 sec x 60 min x 24hr= 86400 drops x .00251ml = 216.864ML x .0002641 [1mil = .0002641 gallon] = .057 gallon....i dont know if i did my calculation right lol.
so hopefully that make me get more mpg when i calculate it.

I am a long time reader on this forum and first time poster. I currently have a 2000 Civic auto that I try to drive for max mpg. I am interested in following your mods and mpg gain as well. I am looking at a grill block for mine.

I would be interested in seeing just how much mileage you could get at say 65 mph and with no cargo and really focusing on max mpg. It might even go mid/high 40's. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
