cool site!

Hey, my name's Alex...drive a Scion xA (automatic )
If I've done my math right I'm averaging 27mpg with all city driving, and driving like a grandma (no a/c, windows up) I know it can do better than that EPA says 31/38 I think.

I just saw on TV this morning (Mojo channel I think) had some guy demonstrating hypermilage-ing and I was like "neato!" So I google'd it and brought me here.

So here's my car:

So far I've lowered it 1.7 inches, cold air intake (I know I need to get rid of it), and 15" wheels that weigh about 16 lbs. I'm planning on buying 15" Rota Slipstreams, which weigh 11 lbs. I'll probably take out the back seat soon.

but anyways, cool site!

My favorite of the scions. Good choice on that shape.

Welcome to the site!

gloriousmidget -

Welcome to GS! I agree with Danronian. I loved the xA when I saw it in the car shows. It reminds me of the little brother or sister of a Toyota Matrix.

Welcome to GS. I like the xA's body style. Something about that hatchback style. Maybe that's why I have a Fit (a Honda Fit ). I believe that our mpg are rated pretty closely. I like your mods too. Rota slipstreams would definitely help to lighten up each corner. But, as far as no back seat? Are you probably just taking it out to save weight while commuting or is it more of a definite no back seat at all until further notice? It would really save a lot of weight though.
