greetings from NC

greetings yall

found this site while doing a search on yahoo for techniques to get better MPG for a few projects i have coming up. i own a custom auto shop in the raleigh area. in the next few weeks we will be starting some projects to make try to get the most mpg we can out of certain types on automobiles. they are being donated by the shop class at the local community college and we will be working with the students there to see what all is possible. i know for sure we will have a truck, car, and motorcycle to do our test on. cant wait to see what we can do. look foward to learing and sharing out projects on here

thanks,
John P

depending on the year of the car and truck, I would say to purchase a scangauge if it doesn't already have an MPG meter on it.

scangauge works on everything obd2 which is 1996 and newer.

it is good to see another north carolinian on here. there are a few of us but not many

How will you be testing / controlling your tests? Testing for fuel economy is particularly difficult to accomplish in a scientific and really useful way.
