welcome.
What size 4 cyl is in your truck? Mine is an 89 2.5L 5 speed gmc s-15. I haven't checked the mileage on it lately. I should but I don't trust the old gas tank to not leak if I fill it all the way up . Is the vette a diesel or gas?

the truck is the 2.2L gets about 25 adverage city/highway
the chevette has a 1.6L fully carbed. currently my chevette gets 28mpg but thats driving it in the winter...i havent had it running long enough in the best possible condition to get a good adverage. that and i still got some tweaking to do.

yes the North American Chevette is a take off the opel kadett and the vaxhaul chevette. they made them for the us since 1976-1987 but continued making them for mexico and other south american places until mid 1990's. (looked like a ford tempo in the 90's)

the north american chevette is well a box...not the greaest aerodynamic thing in the world( i would know wind is my biggest fear while driving it )

a chevette would come out if a Corivette and a Chevelle had a baby...

heres pics of both

both have manual trannys ( i will never buy a car/truck with an automatic tranny. so boring to drive)

VetteOwner -

Welcome to the boards! I like your truck, that was always a clean design.

How much do your cars weigh? Guess I'll wait for you to fill out your garage.

Here's another Vetti :

Manual tranny's are most excellent. There's no other way.
