I thought for sure that I'd have to have the head machined because I drove it home with the blown headgasket, about 25 miles. I made sure to keep putting more water in it every 5 miles, but it was really running through it, I think I went through about 5 liters in 25 miles, about 1 liter every time I stopped.

But the next day when I tore into the engine I was pleasantly surprised to find the head free of cracks or warpage. That, and a few previous experiences have completely sold me on Honda D series engines, they're just so darn efficient and nearly bulletproof.

As for the bike, well, yeah, it's pretty well decked out. Lights, water bottles, air pump, bell, air horn, rack, fenders, panniers....everything you need to replace a car.
