I drive a 00 Civic EX coupe. Actually it's my 2nd Honda and I must say I really do like it. The most I've gotten with this car is 42.3mpg with mostly highway and some city. Now that my commute changed to mostly city I'm at about 34-35mpg.
Still very good compared to the other cars I have driven.
One thing I do hope to learn is when you're trying to save gas driving slow etc. How do you deal with the ''frustrated'' and stupid drivers out there that buzz you and flip you off and all that.
Also in the future I hope to buy either the Scangauge or it's competitor to help with my city driving. Not really aiming for any records, just to help the wallet.
Another mod I was considering was maybe Civic HX wheels. Though not sure if it'd be more for looks or fuel savings.
scangauges are awesome (ultragauge is the other one). either of these are great little devices.
I always try to point at the "201 tips to save gas" at the top of the screen. there are a lot of things that one can do. you have to decide what you are comfortable doing. some are as simple as adding air to your tires. others are more complicated.
welcome to the site and I hope you find it helpful. you are doing well with what you have already.
Be the change you wish to see in the world
