New with 2 diesels

Joined in December 2018, owned diesels of one type or another since the late 80's. Currently a 2002 F-350 7.3 and a 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen. Bought the Sportwagen last Christmas and have driven it 6,400 miles so far, miles that would have been driven on the Superduty before. Fuel savings alone for those 6,400 miles just over $900 compared to the Superduty which will now be reserved for towing.

Welcome to the forum. Those are good numbers on the VW. The torque on those is impressive.

Plus the torque just makes then so fun to drive. I can get better mileage than a Prius and have way more fun!

Yes I can relate to that, if your TDI is the engine I'm thinking of, it has the same torque figure as my little 1.6 litre petrol powered Peugeot, and the low down grunt is great for acceleration! In fact my Peugeot's engine is 50% smaller than my Boxster, but has more torque.

Smile

Thanks for the belated welcome!! I can add another to the fleet, just picked up a Sprinter based motor home with the 3.0 Bluetech. So now 3 diesels, or if you want to count the Onan/Cummins RV genset make it 4!
