adjusting rpm...

Im having a hard time figuring out how to hook my tach meter to my '93 civic dx to read the rpm. Its a fairly old meter (around 20 yrs) and pretty basic. Just 2 leads, red and black, and it is digital. And the leads are just alligator clips. Will I need some kind of connector for the clip? Im also hearing about "grill blocks". Im assuming they are for keeping the engine compartment from producing drag. Is there somewhere to buy these? Thanks for replies!

Sorry, I have nothing to offer about the meter.

Grille blocking is purely DIY for most vehicles. For some vehicles you can buy a grille block intended for cold climates. It's not just about aerodynamic drag, it's also about heat -- keeping warmer air under the hood may increase engine efficiency, and may increase intake air temperature which also helps with some vehicles.
