Ive seen some jeep guys do the deep cycle battery have any of you removed alternator, ac or extra fan pulley once you do the electric fan mod. Or what else have you 4.0 jeep guys done for FE.

-I ve done the remove front driveshaft thing
-electric fan
-removed all interior and did rino lying on floors so no carpet or rear seats or belts
-50 psi all 4
-no spare tire since i am local driving
-hho with efei to lean 02 and map
-all new sensors high output wires, plugs cap rotor coil
-all low viscosity fluids AMSOIL
-advanced timing manually
-3 "Warm air intake
-no lift stock tires aluminum rims

You will need to move to a deep-cycle battery that has a higher-capacity.

I recommend picking up a battery charger at Wal-Mart and creating a quick-disconnect plug so you can quickly detach when you leave.

Have you noticed any additional torque from removing the alternator and fan? I sure did!

Take advantage of the torque and start short-shifting. However, keep an eye on your engine temps since the electric fans are somewhat unreliable in high temperatures. I am using two electric fans right now since I burned out a 16" fan on a 100F day.

Well show me your belt routing i still have alternator in there and all other pullies too. what is the belt number you used. Also i have an auto i wish i could short shift.

As far as temp i have the new electric fan come on at 205, it is fully adjustable to come on at 160 to 240. its a knob you turn, ive checked it with an infa red temp reader to come on with the sensor in the radiator at 205 it has worked great so far for 6 months.

Has anybody on here considered not doing an electric fan conversion but changing the viscous clutch out with an electro-mechanical clutch?

This would be especially useful for those of you wanting to run without an alternator on a hot day.

Or maybe even a hydraulic mechanical fan assembly. I've thought of doing that for mine and just using the power steering pump.
