Most of my commmute is at about 55 mph. I look ahead for traffic signals, trying to never stop. If I do stop, and I know the light is longer than 10 seconds I turn it off. I coast when I can, which my drive doesn't allow for much of it. I short shift also, I have no tach or FE gauges so this is all guess work....I have my upper grille blocked, and my car has a good sized cone filter that was on it when I bought (which does not seem to be hurting my FE )

I'm asking 150 shipped. It might work...is there an electrical pulse? You can also use a magnet to create a pulse that yoshi says will work. Lemme know!

I do it, they go around. As a matter of fact, if you pay attention, that's all they do. Pass and get passed, jockey for position, etc... They generally don't ride all the way up your *** like an auto driver because they're used to passing other vehicles and know they can pass quicker if they hold back for a bit while still maintaining a decent speed and pass you in a traffic gap. At worst, they'll end up behind you until traffic breaks and they can safely pass. Occasionally I'll get honked at for not being on the far right for something that's going to merge/end in a half mile or less anyway, but I'll just flail my arms/point that the right lane is merging and that's that. I recently realized that I've been cruising as slow as 47mph on the 10/15/91. I suppose it helps when your vehicles look beat up.

Must be something in the water....as I just got a record-breaking fill-up yesterday too!! 22.503 MPG out of a Jeep!! And that's with 50/50 driving......now wonder what I can do on the open highway!!

My best so far this year.......March 24th, 116 miles traveled on 4.217 gallons = 27.51mpg. Almost completely highway @ 55mph with a few 70+mph bursts.
