Best trans oil for CRX HF in fuel economy terms

I am trying to find a light weight trans oil for my CRX that could potentially help with the FE a little. I also wouldn't mind finding an oil for the engine that can help with that as well. Anybody have any suggestions?

Don't spend too much on it. There's not a whole lot of improvement at stake.

Just use 5w 30 engine oil in the transmission. Frequent changes will keep economy up. 15k is the service interval. Synthetic oil for the motor might give you a small improvement in economy.

If you have cold winters, a 0wXX synthetic should be worth the extra cost.

I wouldn't use the the newer Honda Genuine Type II for this app, but whatever was spec'd and used back in the 90s should be good still, if you go by the dealer and can get the HG stuff.

PS: I'm using Amsoil's Synchromesh MTF(its a 5w-30), the newer HG Type II is closer to a 20 multi-grade.
