The smaller motor 3.3BT? might work well in a Ranger.

I remember The RoadWarrior..To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time..the world was powered by the black fuel & the desert sprouted great cities..Gone now, swept away..two mighty warrior tribes went to war & touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Can't remember where I saw it but there was a guy who swapped a 3.3 into a Wrangler and had gas logs showing close to 30mpg.
