check it out

My CRX HF motor with 230k on it was burning 1qt of oil every fill up. I found a complete DX motor with harness, dizzy, clutch, tranny, ect on craigs list with only 115k on it for 100 bucks delivered. I swapped the motor keeping the HF tranny, intake and exhaust manifolds and FI. Motor burns no oil and runs real good and I get the same 45 MPG I was getting with the old HF motor. Plus 50% more horse power!!!

I am very happy with the results and I should have no problem making this car last a year or 2 until I graduate and get a good paying job...

Sweet!!!

TY sir.. it feels good when this happens especially taking the risk on buying a motor with only one guys word alone. It would have really sucked if the motor was blown... the only way I would be able to know for sure was to install it and find out.

That's what I got when I swapped a DX motor into my CX while keeping the transmission and everything else CX stock. A lot more power at high RPMs, but the same mileage I used to get with the CX motor, provided I didn't dip into the high-RPM power band too often.
