civic sedan or coupe which is better for FE

Well i'm not sure if i'm posting in correct area. I'm hunting down a 2001 or 2002 civic coupe or sedan. i have found a few 2001's and 2002's for about 5500-6000 with 100k+/- both sedan and coupe both manual and auto. I have been looking on criagslist and autotrader. I checked out a few dealers but most want about $8k-$10k for what i have been finding on craiglist. I want a manual. I like the look of the coupe but I like the sedan for the size. Now my question which combination of auto or manual coupe or sedan is best for FE. Also which model DX EX LX and HX is the best for FE and has power windows. I need power windows. thanks in advanced for you answers.

HX (VTEC-E) would be your best bet, followed by DX, but they prob don't have PW. LX/EX will, but FE will be lower. LX/DX have the same SOHC, non VTEC D16 engine, and EX has a VTEC and is the best equipped, so heaviest.

Definitely get a manual. Not only will you get better FE, more control over your shift points, Honda from that time period were *notorious* for automatics crapping out, repeatedly. Lots of 101k cars out there are warranty dumps for this reason.

I've got an LX, which is the 4 door sedan, all power and w/AC. Check the EPA website for mileages, and edmunds.com has other basic car info (weight, std features, etc). I lucked out, found a 98 with 39k on the clock, verified by a full service history and original invoice

Send a message via AIM to GasSavers_Ryland
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm is going to be your friend in a car hunt, altho they don't tell you what trim leavle you are looking at, you can kind of figure that out of you look close at each car it tells you the engine size and number of doors, altho the photo they use does NOT represent the specs, they use a sedan photo for everything.
what do you need the car to do for you? people, cargo, distance? I would personaly go with a hatchback or a HX because the HX gets 4-6mpg better then the other trim leavles of the same year, and hatch backs tend to be the lightest.
I've never heard of someone who "has to have power windows" mind if I ask why this is?
kbb.com is also helpful when trying to figure out the value.

My 99 HX has power windows, but no cruise control. The 01 to 05 ones have cruise control, too.

Manual HXs are rare on Craigslist!
