Corolla A130 auto transmission?

im checking out a 97 prizm tomorrow, it has the 1.6L engine, but the guy said he got the transmission changed, it says "A130" so im not too sure if its the 3 speed or 4 speed auto.

im really not touching the 3 speed auto with a 50 foot stick

The A130 is 3 speed. From reading the rest of that page, it appears that the second digit tells you how many speeds, as the A140, A245, A540, etc are described as 4 speed.

thanks theholycow, i will probably ask for a lower price, im going to borrow a friends scanguage to check the rpm's at 60, 65, 70. i dont think this car will see highway speeds too much, maybe less than 30%.

the lowest the guy can go is 1300, 97 prizm base, some damage on the fender (who cares) and the color doesnt look too appealing (looks like the color of chicken crap, light browninsh color)

160k miles, clean title, 2 new tires
