What is foamcore plastic?

I saw some posterboard the other day, which I'm pretty sure was stiff foam with card stock laminated to both sides of it, and briefly considered it...but I figure it probably loses its structural integrity when the paper card stock gets wet.

Over the weekend, I saw that some jerk had really spammed the hell out of the main road near my house. Every few miles, there would be a cluster of 6 to 10 coroplast signs for a dating website, spaced 15 feet apart. It was so offensive that I would have stopped to pick them up even if I had no interest in keeping them.

I picked up something like 30 of them in just a few stops. In one stop I took 12. 12 signs for a dating website in one place. That's just scummy.

They're 12" x 18", too small to do much with, but I'll use them for something.

Hmmmm.... What to use them for?
How much would it cost to ship a bundle of 6 or 8? I need a grill block and air dam for my other car.

I'm tempted. There is a serial signposter around here that has these huge, white coroplast signs. I think they are just big enough to make a grille block for the beast. The only problem is I would like something either clear or black for behind the grille. I'm not too keen on painting it as I think it will probably look bad when the paint starts flaking off the plastic.

Krylon Fusion spraypaint on lightly sanded plastic would probably be pretty durable.

Take the ones from the serial signposter. Adhesion promoter will make it work with regular paint. If they're that big, they'd probably be good for belly pan work, too.

man, i never see coroplast for free here in nj! how much to ship it to me?

its like that stuff grows on trees where you guys are! i have been wanting to make a belly pan for a while but never got around to spending the $.

also, you should never paint without sanding because it will always flake eventually if you dont.

Just wait until election time! You'll have free coroplast all over!
To be ethical I'd recomend waiting until the day after the election before helping them take down the signs.

I just got a sheet of coroplast from a friend that works at a sign place its a black sheet 4'x8' and was only $22, I thought that was a great price! Should be more then enough to do a rear belly pan and I am tempted to do a front one now also
