Electronic wheel?

Someone was telling me about some guy that made a 5th wheel under his car. Apparently the wheel is electronic and helps boost you along to save on your engine a little bit. Apparently it adds an additional 100 MPG to your tank.

Does anyone have any information about this?

lol i doubt it. it woult take one hell of a motor to be able to move a car, then the motor prolly weighs a good 50-100 lbs then by th etime you mess with the pulley setup and mounting it all...

whenever somehing claims it adds 10 times more MPG than the engine is most likely baloney

The 5th wheel was on a Honda insight, and it was not an aditional 100mpg, it was one of the things that helped boost the mileage from 72mpg stock, to 100mpg total, I think the web site is something like 99mpg.com

He actually has a kit somewhere, the fifth wheel drops down I think behind the rear wheel.
